Many people hate My Little Pony and the bronies. I can deal with that. But I'm not the only one to see that the fandom is dying.

My idea? We grew up VERY quickly. Now we have a lot of websites and a lot of bronies. That means some of us are:
a) Trolls
b) People who don't "Love and tolerate"
c) Haters undercover

I don't want this fandom to die (Not this quickly, at least). Some people is still upset about the Ponyarchive affair, and many others are mad because Hasbro is taking down videos on YouTube. The solution is not rage-quitting. We need to stick together, and do our best to work with Hasbro and reach an agreement. And organize the fandom. If they want to draw R34 of ponies? Let'em do it, but in their own sites (Password protected, for Celestia's sake!).

A lot of fandoms (Gundam, Star Trek, Doctor Who...) have, or had, similar problems. A change could spark a war between the fans. Of course, they keep releasing new merchandise, but the key are the LOYAL fans. Those who supported the show and the people behind it.

Remember the six elements of harmony?
1) HONESTY : Think about it. Do you REALLY love the show? Are you ready to support Hasbro, even if is agaisnt the fandom? Everyone lies once in a while, but this is a "Get-in-or-get-out" kind of situation (We welcome back...with warnings)
2) KINDNESS : Some people REALLY hate the fandom, and they don't lack motivation. While we can love and tolerate the trolls, I've heard cases of bronies trying to "force" the show on others. Not cool.
3) LAUGHTER : Our memes are funny. Many people don't understand them, or are sick of them (Like the infamous "arrow to the knee"), and will find them just annoying. A joke, or a meme, is like a bomb: well placed is a blast. Oh, and they're tactical bombs, choose carefully your target.
4) GENEROSITY : While sharing episodes via YouTube so everypony in the planet can get his dosis of pony is a good cause, is not legal. However, is the only way for some bronies to watch the show, so we need to find a PEACEFULL solution to this problem. And don't panic or RAGE because the videos are being taken down. I have a couple of ideas over that dilemma, but I'm only suggesting them in a case of great emergency.
5) LOYALTY : This is it. We are loyal to this show. Hasbro, for better or for worse, is able to do ANYTHING with the franchise. We need to support both the fandom and the company, always trying to help.
6) MAGIC : Friendship, of course!

If the show gave us a lesson is that friendship is able to do marvels. I say, let's live by those words.

I like the characters, i just find everything else idiotic, especially the show, the last time i tried to watch it i wanted to have a brain aneurysm. I for one am not loyal to anything, i i'm not kind to those who aren't, i amuse people with satire, i really don't give a damn about generosity, i'm not honest, and i prefer to lie about things, and magic doesn't exist. It's all bullshit in my opinion.

So i really don't give two shits about where this show and it's fanbase are going.

Interesting look at the situation. I wouldn't say that our fandom is dying, more so the craze is. Remember when people found out that this existed and that males liked it, stories were spread all around the news on FOX and other stations. After a while, the hype lowered. I'm sure that G1-3.5 bronies are glad that G4 made it acceptable and less of a social annoyance.

There are always those who are in a group who ruin things, r34 is alright to a certain extent, trolling on the other hand is unacceptable.

"Many people hate My Little Pony and the bronies. I can deal with that. But I'm not the only one to see that the fandom is dying."

I guess I'll just need to say this, but this fandom is not dying. Not by a long shot. Maybe morality wise, it will be inching to its grave everyday, but I'm pretty sure in specialisation, volume and annoyance from the anti-ponies/bronies, I can tell you that those three are all increasing, all three being indicators that the fandom is still pretty much alive and kicking.

"My idea? We grew up VERY quickly. Now we have a lot of websites and a lot of bronies. That means some of us are:

b) People who don't "Love and tolerate"

The first point is something I will agree are with some of the people on the internet, the second point is the one I agree the most is a problem here with some of us. The third.... eh. I don't really get that much out from the logic of that, since we're all protected by a screen, so it's likely that most people will just speak their minds more here or rather lie about some things. Likings of shows or fandoms are hardly something I see folks here lie about, though.

"4) GENEROSITY : While sharing episodes via YouTube so everypony in the planet can get his dosis of pony is a good cause, is not legal. Also, if it helps, people always have copies of the show anywhere and everywhere, so the likelihood of anyone missing out on MLP if it's their first time is likely to be an anomaly on a site as large as Youtube and with a fandom as large as the bronies.

I do agree very well with the rest of this journal, though. I'm personally somewhat annoyed by the probable 13% who are rabid in the truest sense, along with some of the haters and what Hasbro tends to do, but it's no reason to throw a ragefit about it. Rather, as you typed in about the relation of the elements of harmony into the brony fandom, we should act accordingly to that.

Back then, when a lot of videos were being taken down (Not only episodes, but also PMVs), many people though that it was Hasbro's fault. Even when it was confirmed that it was a troll, the flames kept going on for days (And don't let me start about the Derpy affair). Also, maybe I exaggerated a bit when I said that the fandom was dying. But comparing to the early days of the fandom, we are more divided.

It is still going on, though, I'll like to tell you first. Mostly for the high definition ones, though. Lower def episodes are fine, they usually just stick and stay on the wall. And yeah, the Derpy affair's gotten quite extreme. I personally didn't pay much attention to Derpy. When she came, I thought that it was a rather nice scene, with Derpy being a rather silly clutz. When they changed some stuff, I thought the changes were retarded and pretty much ruined the scene. Though it's still less of a magnitude of stupid compared to some of the bronies spamming on... say, `Yamino's page, blaming her for the problem of the change.

And I guess you can say we're more divided, but as we go along in larger groups, you'll have to understand that we can't really end up being some tight-knit community. It can happen in smaller groups, with family, a circle of friends. When it involves thousands upon thousands of others around the world, it gets hard. Especially when so many conflicting world views come, not specifically directed towards politics, but just world views or personal views as a whole. That might explain the larger division in the fandom now.

Id say im fairly neutral on all topics involving the fandom...The way i view it is, if you don't like it do it yourself. And if you cant do it yourself...learn. Twilight says LEARN....As for hasbros decisions i understand that most if not all of them are purely for the sake of profit, and what they say goes...
That's why you always need two cannons...An actual cannon ( strait from show or in some cases from official merchandise. ) And a head cannon. ( anything YOU the person who own the head cannon, are willing to accept from the fandom. ) whether they apply it to there pieces or not is completely up to them.
If some people want to complain or turn into dicks based on what an individual has in there fandom, well thats the complaining person problem....An example would be...The Derpy vs Ditsy debate. Some people call her Derpy others Ditsy. I believe the rule is Love and tolerate. love is optional but its just rude to freak on someone who uses the name Ditsy instead of Derpy. ( Like me ) This is were the toleration comes in...Tolerate it..Don't rage on others because you ( the rager ) dosent like it.
As for bronys frocing the show on others....Well thats what i call rabid bronies and i try to avoid them..Or if i find them in youtube comments being dicks..ill apologies on there behalf and leave a comment explaining that. NOT EVERPONY IS RABID!
The memes....meh like you said situational...EXMPLE...20% cooler dosent apply to slowly putting on shades.
As for the youtube situation....I wasent even aware that was happening. All i know is. Its a fairly bad financial decision on hasbros part...considering they don't have an official DVD. If less people get to see the show. ( face it people HUB aint even on dishes basic package anymore ) They in turn will sell less merchandise and loss money...If they wanna take themselves out thats there deal not mine. But if asked i would help them solve it.
Loyalty---dont even question it, im loyal to all my causes.Im loyal to neutrality.
Magic---if only it was real, thats all i gotta say.

SRY for the long comment i just felt i needed to explain my views on the listed topics above...remember tolerate.

Don't worry about the long comment. Is interesting to hear about other people's positions. This journal was written in January, when a lot of videos where being taken down, so the situation could've changed.

When we do show our loyalty (the Derpy hooves incident) haters call us retarded for caring about a show for ponies.

And? I don't like football, but here in South America, almost every man watches football. And they don't call me 'f--' just because I don't share their tastes (Sorry for the language). My point is, everyone has different tastes.
